February Fundraiser

Stop by the RVCLC office on Tuesday's or Thursday's from 10 am - 5 pm in the month of February to register and pick up a "Changed Hearts = Changed Lives" heart bank.  As you fill up the bank with your loose change, let it be a reminder for you to say a prayer for the clients of the program changing their lives from the inside-out and return your bank at the end of the month.

Our purpose is to equip women and men for life and employment within a Christian context where women mentor women and men mentor men.
Mentors provide guidance and leadership through the application of Christian concepts and principles.

“...delighted to share with you not only God's good news but also our lives..." 1 Thessalonians 2:8b

River Valley Christian Life Corps, a non-profit organization, assesses the needs and long-term goals of each participant and matches them with a volunteer mentor. Together we help the participant create individualized goals and weekly action steps. The program provides encouragement as our participants are making positive life changes and one-on-one Bible study enabling our participants to grow in their faith throughout the process.

Participants are asked to identify how they want their life to be different. They are challenged to work towards small goals that will help them achieve big dreams and other long-term goals. In return, participants find not only a way to change their lives and set an example for others, but they find a new strength and a source of joy and hope that will last forever.

We believe in the Trinity, God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and the Bible as the divinely inspired Word of God. We believe that man was created in the image of God. We believe that salvation comes through grace by believing in Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God, our Savior, and Lord. Once saved, the Holy Spirit indwells, thereby instructing, guiding, and empowering the individual to follow the mandate of Jesus Christ in daily living.

We believe the Word of God consists of the 66 books of the commonly accepted protestant Bible, is inerrant, infallible, and supremely authoritative in defining the practices, beliefs, and morals of Christians.

My mentor is great! Her friendship means so much to me.

I tell women about FSCWJC all the time. They helped me move forward and find a job.

I've hoped and prayed for people like FSCWJC in my life; I don't know what I would have done without them. I have been encouraged in so many ways. It gives me hope.

Those ladies here helped me get in contact with people to help me get an apartment dishes pots furniture and most of all a recliner. They prayed with me and for me. They helped to start all over. I can never thank them enough.

What an awesome ministry to be a part of and support. Such wonderful people that God has placed here to share His word and help change lives.

" the whole 8 years that I have been involved with RVCLC, it didn't matter what phase or stage I was at in my spiritual life. They have been there to support me, build me up, and guide me back to God (even when I was pushing them away because of my drug use). They have been there for me even when my own family gave up and treated me like trash. I am 100% confident that if God hadn't connected me to them, I would be severely lost, spiritually dead, and/or 6 feet under."

"I could go on and on with my testimony of RVCLC. I can sum it all up with the fact that RVCLC is the closest symbol of God's character (in my life). God has never given up on me, no matter how many times or how severe I mess up. He has always been there to welcome me back with grace, mercy, forgiveness, love, and open arms, even when I was too ashamed and believed I didn't deserve any more grace. RVCLC has always done the same for me. Even when I am lost and making mistakes I know without a shadow of a doubt that they are always a phone call, text, or message away. Their doors have always been open if and whenever I have needed it."

I have truly been blessed by the love and affection from everyone RVCLC.

Through Bible studies and reading the scripture I've gotten love, peace and joy. "For joy cometh in the morning". I am so grateful to have found this beautiful and wonderful group of Godly Christian women. I am thankful for all the encouragement, love and for keeping me in the presence of God.

I have been blessed by God through RVCLC. I know He placed these special people there for me. They have encouraged me in the Lord and worked with me to get to know my Lord better. They have shown me how to walk with Him through their example.

Where am I today, you ask? Well, I now have an amazing and ever-growing relationship with Christ, my marriage has been saved and we have a beautiful 2 yr old daughter, I am 100% sober, I got my driver's license back after 17 years, and we have the cutest little car. I've been at my job for nearly two years and with a promotion. And most recent, we are in the direct process of building our forever home.

I am forever grateful that God took control and led me to RVCLC. God is so good!
