Quotes From Our Participants
I appreciate you. If I were to look in all the whole wide world, I would not, could not, and will not find another you as well as the stuff you have helped me with in the time we have been acquainted as well as the other ladies at FSCWJC. -Brenda
"I really liked the Job Skills Fair because it taught me some important things. Like how to dress for success; how to write a resume, ect. I appreciate Fort Smith Christian Women’s Job Corps for all they do. Since I’ve been going to FSCWJC, I was able to get a job at Christian Companion Senior Care. The Job Skills Fair meant a lot to me. I learned so much about what to do and not do. I am really thankful for FSCWJC, for the Bible Study, haircuts and pictures. Thank you for being a servant of God."
"Things are so good for us. God continues to bless us, especially me. I am so happy with my church and my job. My husband is the best thing that ever happened to me. I am director of our VBS at our church in two weeks, so excited about it I can hardly contain myself. The Lord just keeps overflowing with everything I get to do in His service! I have finally made friends that I have never had before. It is so awesome to be blessed the way I have been blessed and it is all because of the guidance I received from you and FSCWJC. Thank you!"
"All of us have ample opportunities to fall in a deep dark hole in this path we call life. When you reach the bottom and have faced your helplessness and you find your pride diminished; you suddenly find the ability to genuinely ask God for help. This help will most likely come from some surprisingly unusual places. God surrounded me with wonderful Godly examples, support and encouragement.
We often mark progress year to year as our birthday passes. My last year has been full of blessings that have far surpassed my desires. Every need has faithfully been answered. God has abundantly restored most of what I had lost. I can’t wait to see the results and total restoration that God will reveal as I continue to seek His will for my life and trust Him fully.
I have been amazed as the ability to laugh, trust and love have been returned to me also. Eph. 3:20 states:
“Now to him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think; according to the power that works in us.”
- When I needed shelter from the world; God answered.
- When I needed a place to grow and heal; God answered.
- When I needed transportation; God answered.
- When I needed a place to call my own; God answered.
- When I needed furniture; God answered.
- When I needed income; God answered.
- When God needed a faithful obedient servant; I answered.
- Here below is a prayer I wrote a year ago.
Oh Lord the heavens and earth are yours alone to rule and guide. Look down upon your daughter and hear her pleas for direction. Provide a clear path for your daughter to follow. Give her silent moments to hear your directions and wishes. Bring her renewed strength to walk and even run towards the goals you set for her. Let it be obvious that the rices and rewards found could only be provided by a magnificent God. Thank you Lord for answering her prayers. -Teresa"
"As I was sitting in the back of the police car, I thanked God for finally giving me a way out of the streets and the world of sin. I began to get my relationship back with God as soon as I entered jail. Came upon a brochure with Fort Smith Christian Women’s Job Corps name on it as I was attending church and praying for God to show me a way to be a servant unto Him. Wrote a letter to them and received a letter back to tell me to contact them when I was released."
