Nails & Jesus at the Community Rescue Mission

Matthew 20:26-29

26 It is not this way among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant, 27 and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your [willing and humble] slave; 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many [paying the price to set them free from the penalty of sin].”

Our goal at CRM was to get to know the ladies and share Jesus’s love for them through some pampering with polish. While there, former RVCLC graduate Christina Findley gave her inspiring testimony about how God had redeemed her from addictions and homelessness to now freedom from addiction, a home, a beautiful family, and a job in management.

We discovered God had already been at work!! One of the ladies at CRM was ready to accept Christ as her Lord and Savior! On top of that sweet blessing, Carmen Apolinar-Juarez, a past RVCLC graduate and current board member, had brought her 15 year old daughter to also serve. As her daughter polished this woman’s nails she had a front row seat to witness God’s call on this new believer’s life! What a wonderful experience for a young lady to have; to hear the heart cry of a repentant heart and desire for a new life with Jesus.

This event was a reminder that God is ahead of us, preparing hearts, and to ready ourselves, being intentional to share our time, talent, and treasures to let others know they are loved and valuable! Also, we can be a part of training up the next generation to live on mission by simply inviting them to where God is sending you!

Thank you for praising with us and continuing to pray for the RVCLC ministry. Together, let’s be intentional.
